Dr Francisco de la Peña Fernández-Garnelo is an M&A specialist with 10+ years of energy experience in Africa, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and South America. Prior to practising as an English Solicitor with Clifford Chance in London and Paris, he worked for DG Competition in the European Commission in Brussels, and the Mergers Group of the OFT, a department of HM Government, in London. From 2010, he has gained investment banking experience as a vice president at financial advisory firm Amaltheia Capital in London and held a number of senior and board roles in various oil and gas companies.

Francisco has an LLB from the University of Navarre, an LLM from the LSE, a PhD from King´s College London and a MBA from the University of Cambridge. He was a Visiting Researcher at Harvard Law School and has been a Visiting Lecturer at University College London since 2004.
